ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Gökalp.

I’m a Senior Software Developer based in Istanbul. Over the past 9+ years, I’ve built web applications across e-commerce, aviation, telecommunications, and education.

My deepest experience is in frontend development: React, Vue.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript. I work on component architecture, state management, micro-frontends, and performance. I also build backend services, REST APIs, and database-backed applications with Node.js and C#/.NET.

Most recently at Trendyol Group, I led frontend development within the ML Enablement team. I built interfaces for AI video generation, catalog intelligence, and virtual try-on, as well as AI Governance tools for managing usage, budgets, API keys, and permissions.

I also brought two catalog-expert applications together through a micro-frontend architecture, keeping their development and deployment independent. My other work at Trendyol included product management tools for e-commerce teams, translation and localization workflows, and video and livestreaming applications.

I care about what happens after a feature ships: whether the code is easy to change, tests catch regressions, and the team can see when something goes wrong. Alongside development, I contribute to architecture decisions, technical planning, code reviews, and mentoring.
